This covers details of how as an Englishman, in 1989 I went to work on a 5 Star hotel complex down on the Turkish Mediterranean Coast and the many experiences that happened after my late wife joined me there. As a result of this, shortly afterwards, we decided to have a house built here, which dramatically changed our lives for the better. The book explains the many incidents, some happy, sad, shocking, grief and lastly incredible happiness. Although a Muslim country, we had no problems in living here for over 18 years, until my wife died from cancer. It was during this period of grief, that I was conned out of both money and my car by what I thought was my best Turkish friend. This however, incredible though it may seem, resulted in my experiencing a whole new life on the other side of the country. From living in what some considered in the middle of a field, I am now living very happily in Istanbul with my wonderful Turkish wife. The book offers advice to those both living and thinking of living in Turkey, where in general I have enjoyed a great life, and where I have no thought on leaving.
